Terms and conditions
Last updated 23 August 2026. These terms govern use of LokaNest and the marketplace features offered through the platform.
Marketplace role
LokaNest provides a platform that connects travellers with property owners and local hosts. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, the provider offering the accommodation or experience is responsible for the accuracy of the listing and for supplying the booked service.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and use the platform lawfully. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised access. Some services or provider roles may require identity, profile or listing verification.
Listings and provider responsibilities
Owners and local hosts must keep prices, availability, descriptions, rules, safety information and material restrictions accurate and up to date. Providers must honour confirmed bookings and comply with applicable laws, permits, taxes and consumer obligations relevant to the service they offer.
Bookings and contract formation
The booking flow displays the service, dates, price and applicable terms before payment. A booking is confirmed after successful payment and, where provider approval is required, after that approval. The booking record identifies the applicable status and provider.
Prices and payments
Prices and mandatory platform charges shown at checkout form the displayed total for the selected booking. Payments and refunds are processed through the payment provider used by LokaNest. Additional charges may apply only where they were clearly disclosed or arise from a user's later request or breach of agreed terms.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility is determined by the policy stored with the booking and the booking status. The platform shows the applicable refund before final cancellation where that functionality is available. Statutory consumer rights and any mandatory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
Prohibited conduct
Fraud, harassment, unlawful content, attempts to bypass platform safety controls, misuse of personal data, and deceptive off-platform payment requests are prohibited. LokaNest may restrict or suspend accounts or listings where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or investigate abuse.
Platform availability and changes
We aim to keep LokaNest available and accurate but cannot promise uninterrupted operation. Features may be changed, suspended or maintained when necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product improvement. Confirmed booking obligations are not changed merely because the platform is updated.
Liability and mandatory law
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded. Any additional limitation of liability must be interpreted subject to applicable law and the specific role LokaNest has in the relevant transaction.
