Clear cancellation before you confirm
Accommodation and tour-package bookings store their applicable cancellation terms so later policy changes do not alter an existing booking.
Accommodation cancellations
Open your accommodation booking to review its cancellation eligibility and calculated refund. The refund depends on the policy stored with that booking and the time remaining before check-in.
Tour package requests awaiting approval
A paid tour package request can be cancelled for a full refund while it is still awaiting host approval.
Confirmed tour packages
Confirmed package bookings follow the cancellation policy stored when the booking was created. Depending on the departure date, this may provide a full, partial or zero refund.
Review before cancelling
Select Cancel and refund from the package booking. StudentStay displays the applicable policy, exact refund and inventory-release notice before asking for final confirmation.
Host rejection
If a host rejects a paid package request before confirmation, the full package payment is refunded and its reserved inventory is released.
Refund destination
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Processing time after StudentStay submits the refund depends on the payment provider and your bank.
